Notion alternative for events Replace Notion for events.
Event management that faces your audience, not just your team.
For organizers planning events in workspace tools like Notion
Today, in four tabs
Not everyone runs all four. Whichever of them you do run, the event details get copied between them by hand, because none of them was built for events.
After
- A public page for every event, and a calendar of all of them Free
- Free RSVP with a capacity limit per date Free
- A QR code on every ticket, scanned at the door Free
- Tickets that carry a price, and the live check-in dashboard Pro
- Newsletters to the people who follow your schedule Free
The gaps
Where Notion limits you for events
Notion was not built for event management. These are the places the event part has to be done somewhere else.
- A published page is a document, not an event page with tickets
- No ticketing or payment processing
- A calendar for your team, not a public schedule your audience can follow
- Steep learning curve to build event management workflows from scratch
None of that is a fault in Notion. It is a general-purpose tool being asked to run an event, which is why the rest of the job ends up in other tabs.
Done natively
What Getvnt gives you over Notion
The same work, in the tool that already knows what an event is.
Public Event Pages
Every event gets a shareable page with details, images, and ticket purchasing. Your audience sees polished event pages, not internal docs.
Built-in Ticketing
Sell tickets through Stripe or PayPal, with automatic confirmations and zero platform fees. No third-party integration needed.
Google Calendar Sync
Two-way sync with Google, Outlook and CalDAV keeps events updated automatically. No manual copying between your workspace and calendar.
AI Event Import
Paste event details in any format and AI extracts dates, times, and descriptions. Faster than building Notion database entries.
Team Collaboration
Invite up to five team members on the Enterprise plan. An admin runs the schedule and sees ticket sales; a viewer is read-only but can scan tickets at the door. Built for event teams, not generic workspace collaboration.
Sub-schedules
Organize events into sub-schedules by category, location, or type. Better than building separate Notion databases for each event series.
The swap sheet
Notion vs Getvnt
Line by line, on the event work. A dash in the Notion column means that job is not built in, so today it is living in another tab. A tick in the Getvnt column does not mean free: the three cards below say which plan carries what.
From 0 NGN/mo (Pro 5 NGN/mo)
| Feature | Notion | Getvnt |
|---|---|---|
| Public event pages | Publish to web | Yes |
| Ticketing & payments | Not built in | Zero platform fees |
| Calendar sync (Google, Outlook, CalDAV) | Notion Calendar | Two-way sync |
| AI event import | AI writing only | Full event parsing |
| Newsletters | Not built in | With A/B testing |
| Team collaboration | Yes | Up to 5 (Enterprise) |
| Sub-schedules | Manual databases | Built-in |
| Per-user pricing | Per seat | No per-user fees |
Free
0 NGNUnlimited events and schedules. Public event pages and a shareable calendar. Two-way Google, Outlook and CalDAV sync. Free RSVP with a capacity limit and no monthly ceiling, scanned at the door. Event graphics, embeddable calendar, built-in analytics, AI event parsing, and 10 newsletter emails a month, each recipient counting as one.
Pro
5 NGN a monthTickets that carry a price, and the live check-in dashboard. Custom fields on the form, ticket waitlist, promo codes, sales export. The embeddable ticket widget, the REST API and webhooks. 100 newsletter emails a month.
Enterprise
15 NGN a monthYour own domain. Up to five team members. Internal and unlisted events. AI flyer and style generation, AI agenda scanning, WhatsApp event creation, and 1,000 newsletter emails a month.
Two footnotes worth reading before you switch. Your follower list is never capped, but the monthly newsletter allowance counts recipients rather than sends, so one letter to 40 followers spends 40 of it; the automatic digest of new events that confirmed subscribers get does not count against it. And Free is a single team member; extra members are Enterprise. What does not change with the plan is the fee on ticket sales, which is zero on all three. Charging for a ticket is Pro, and it brings every way to get paid with it: Stripe, PayPal, Payfast for rand, Invoice Ninja, a payment link or cash. Past the processor's own fee, the money is yours, and a Stripe or PayPal sale can be refunded from the Sales page in full or in part.

About Notion
Notion is a workspace and productivity tool that some event organizers use to plan events with databases, calendars, and shared pages. While Notion is excellent for internal project management, a page published from Notion is a document rather than an event page: there is no ticketing or door check-in, and event workflows have to be built from scratch.
What it is good at
- Flexible workspace with databases, docs, and wikis
- Strong team collaboration and shared workspaces
- Customizable templates for project management

Notion to Getvnt FAQ
What people ask before they move the event work across.
Is Getvnt a good Notion alternative for event planning?
Yes, for the event management side. Getvnt handles everything Notion cannot: public event pages, ticket sales, attendee management, Google Calendar sync, and newsletters. You may still use Notion for internal project notes, but Getvnt replaces it for audience-facing event work.
Is Getvnt free like Notion?
Yes. The free plan includes unlimited events, public event pages, Google Calendar sync, newsletters and event graphics. Free registration is unlimited, and selling paid tickets is on Pro at 5 NGN/month with zero platform fees, which also adds the live check-in dashboard. One difference worth knowing before you move a team off Notion: a free schedule is a single account, and multiple team members, up to five, are an Enterprise feature.
Does Getvnt support team collaboration like Notion?
Yes, on the Enterprise plan, which carries up to five team members. An admin runs the schedule day to day and sees its ticket sales, and a viewer is read-only but can scan tickets at the door. Unlike Notion, collaboration is purpose-built for event management with tools like shared schedules, sub-schedules, and delegated event editing.
Is Getvnt easier to set up than a Notion event database?
Yes. Create a schedule in under a minute with no databases, templates, or formulas to configure. Add events with AI import or manual entry and you have a public event page with ticketing immediately. No workspace setup needed.
Can I use Getvnt alongside Notion?
Yes. Many organizers use Notion for internal project planning and Getvnt for the audience-facing side: public event pages, ticket sales, newsletters, and attendee management. On Pro, the REST API can also connect Getvnt data with your Notion workflows.
Can I reuse an event as a template, the way I would in Notion?
Yes, on Pro. Save any event as a template and start new events from it on the Templates tab, with its details already filled in.
