Trello alternative for events Replace Trello for events.
From task boards to ticket sales.
For organizers managing events with task boards and project tools
Today, in four tabs
Not everyone runs all four. Whichever of them you do run, the event details get copied between them by hand, because none of them was built for events.
After
- A public page for every event, and a calendar of all of them Free
- Free RSVP with a capacity limit per date Free
- A QR code on every ticket, scanned at the door Free
- Tickets that carry a price, and the live check-in dashboard Pro
- Newsletters to the people who follow your schedule Free
The gaps
Where Trello limits you for events
Trello was not built for event management. These are the places the event part has to be done somewhere else.
- No public event pages or attendee-facing features
- No registration, ticketing, or payment processing
- Task boards do not map to event lifecycle (create, promote, manage)
- Purely internal project management with no audience interaction
None of that is a fault in Trello. It is a general-purpose tool being asked to run an event, which is why the rest of the job ends up in other tabs.
Done natively
What Getvnt gives you over Trello
The same work, in the tool that already knows what an event is.
Public Event Pages
Every event gets a shareable page with all details and ticket purchasing. Your audience sees event pages, not task cards.
Ticketing & Payments
Sell tickets through Stripe or PayPal, with several ticket types and zero platform fees. Trello has no way to handle registrations or payments.
Team Collaboration
Invite up to five team members on the Enterprise plan, never priced per seat. An admin sees ticket sales and runs the door; a viewer is read-only but can scan tickets.
Google Calendar Sync
Two-way sync with Google, Outlook and CalDAV keeps events updated everywhere. No manual copying between boards and calendars.
AI Event Import
Paste event details in any format and AI extracts structured event data automatically. Faster than creating Trello cards.
Event Submissions
Accept event submissions from performers, speakers, or vendors, free on every plan. Review each one before it goes live, and a submitter is told if you decline. On Pro, custom fields add your own questions to the form.
The swap sheet
Trello vs Getvnt
Line by line, on the event work. A dash in the Trello column means that job is not built in, so today it is living in another tab. A tick in the Getvnt column does not mean free: the three cards below say which plan carries what.

Free
0 NGNUnlimited events and schedules. Public event pages and a shareable calendar. Two-way Google, Outlook and CalDAV sync. Free RSVP with a capacity limit and no monthly ceiling, scanned at the door. Event graphics, embeddable calendar, built-in analytics, AI event parsing, and 10 newsletter emails a month, each recipient counting as one.
Pro
5 NGN a monthTickets that carry a price, and the live check-in dashboard. Custom fields on the form, ticket waitlist, promo codes, sales export. The embeddable ticket widget, the REST API and webhooks. 100 newsletter emails a month.
Enterprise
15 NGN a monthYour own domain. Up to five team members. Internal and unlisted events. AI flyer and style generation, AI agenda scanning, WhatsApp event creation, and 1,000 newsletter emails a month.
Two footnotes worth reading before you switch. Your follower list is never capped, but the monthly newsletter allowance counts recipients rather than sends, so one letter to 40 followers spends 40 of it; the automatic digest of new events that confirmed subscribers get does not count against it. And Free is a single team member; extra members are Enterprise. What does not change with the plan is the fee on ticket sales, which is zero on all three. Charging for a ticket is Pro, and it brings every way to get paid with it: Stripe, PayPal, Payfast for rand, Invoice Ninja, a payment link or cash. Past the processor's own fee, the money is yours, and a Stripe or PayPal sale can be refunded from the Sales page in full or in part.
Switching
How to switch from Trello in 3 steps
No migration project. Your next event is the first one you put here.
Create your events
Add events with details, images, and ticket options. AI can import event details from any format.
Invite your team
Team members with role-based access, up to five, on the Enterprise plan: an admin sees ticket sales and runs the door, a viewer can scan tickets. A free schedule is a single account, which is the one place a board of collaborators does not map straight across.
Publish and sell
Share your public schedule page. Attendees see events, buy tickets, and subscribe for updates.
100% Free Access. No Subscriptions.
All premium features, custom branding, seating charts, and integrations are included free for everyone. We only earn a small percentage fee when you sell paid tickets.
Host unlimited free events and registrations without paying a single dime.
- Unlimited events, calendars, & sub-schedules
- Google, Outlook, & CalDAV 2-way sync
- All Pro & Enterprise features unlocked
Only pay when you earn money. Automatically deducted at ticket checkout.
- Direct payouts to your Stripe account
- Passes, gift cards, promo codes, & installments
- No monthly or hidden subscription fees
Both tools
Keep what Trello is good at. Move the events.
About Trello
Trello is a kanban-style project management tool that some event organizers use to track event planning tasks. While Trello is great for organizing workflows with boards and cards, it has no attendee-facing features, no registration or ticketing, and task boards do not map well to the event lifecycle of creating, promoting, and managing events.
What it is good at
- Visual kanban boards for task management
- Simple drag-and-drop interface for organizing workflows
- Power-ups and integrations for extended functionality
Why switch to Getvnt?
Trello tracks internal tasks. Getvnt handles the full event lifecycle your audience actually sees: event pages, ticket sales, and promotion.
What moves across
- Public event pages your audience can visit and buy tickets from
- Built-in ticketing through Stripe or PayPal, with zero platform fees
- Team collaboration purpose-built for event management, on Enterprise
- AI event import and auto-generated graphics for fast promotion
Trello to Getvnt FAQ
What people ask before they move the event work across.
Is Getvnt a good Trello alternative for event management?
Yes, for the event management side. Getvnt handles what Trello cannot: public event pages, ticket sales, attendee management, and event promotion. You may still use Trello for internal task tracking, but Getvnt replaces it for the full event lifecycle.
Is Getvnt free like Trello?
Yes. The free plan includes unlimited events, public event pages, Google Calendar sync, newsletters, event graphics and fan engagement features. Free registration is unlimited, and selling paid tickets is on Pro at 5 NGN/month with zero platform fees, which also adds the live check-in dashboard, webhooks and more.
Does Getvnt have task management like Trello?
Getvnt is not a task management tool. It replaces Trello specifically for event management workflows: creating events, publishing them, selling tickets, and managing attendees. For internal planning tasks, you can continue using any project management tool you prefer.
Does Getvnt have webhooks for automation?
Yes. The Pro plan includes webhooks and a REST API for connecting Getvnt with your other tools. Automate workflows like syncing attendee data to your CRM or triggering notifications when tickets are sold.
Can performers or speakers submit events for me to approve?
Yes, free on every plan. Turn on requests and people submit events from your schedule page; each one waits for you to accept it before it goes live, and the submitter is told if you decline. On Pro, custom fields put your own questions on that form.
Can I use Getvnt alongside Trello?
Yes. Use Trello for internal planning tasks and Getvnt for the audience-facing event lifecycle: creating events, selling tickets, managing attendees, and sending newsletters. The two tools complement each other well.
